Families in Nature Day Retreat

Welcome
A space where families come together…
not just to learn… but to feel…to slow down... and reconnect.
Families in Nature is a nature-based, accessible day retreat where communication goes beyond words.
Here, nature, movement, and presence create space for connection—within ourselves, and with each other.
Our Story
In a world where many children (and adults) are experiencing nature deficit, and where Deaf children and their families often face barriers to fully accessible outdoor programs, this retreat offers something different: a space where nature, community, and communication meet.
What to Expect
-
Fully accessible programming with American Sign Language (ASL) woven throughout
-
Nature-based, sensory-rich activities designed for all ages
-
Opportunities for Deaf children (solitaires) to connect with peers
-
Meaningful time for families to build relationships and community
-
Shared meals, outdoor exploration, and creative experiences
Set at the beautiful Wildflowers Meadows, this pilot retreat is the beginning of a growing vision—one that centers accessibility, belonging, and the healing power of nature.
