Collective Values

We Operate using Collective Governance Model

The Giving Cypress Foundation (TGCF) operates through a collective governance model inspired by sociocracy and Indigenous circle practices, rather than a traditional hierarchical structure. Our leadership is organized into interconnected circles—such as the Core Circle, Meta Circles, Volunteer Circle, and Support Circles—that share responsibility, voice, and accountability. This approach reflects our belief in equity, collaboration, and the natural wisdom of ecosystems, where every part contributes to the whole. Like nature, our organization moves in circles—rooted in balance, relationship, and collective care.

Join the TGCF Collective

The Giving Cypress Foundation (TGCF) is preparing to welcome new members into our collective leadership circles. Rooted in sociocracy and Indigenous circle practices, our governance model honors shared responsibility, relational accountability, and equity—reflecting the natural systems we strive to protect and learn from.

In Spring 2025, we will begin reviewing applications from individuals who feel called to support TGCF’s mission of expanding access to nature-based wellness and holistic healing for Deaf, Disabled, senior, veteran, and other underserved communities.

We are seeking people who value collaboration, accessibility, community care, and regenerative practices. Applicants may be invited to join one of our circles—such as the Core Circle, Meta Circles, Support Circles, or Volunteer Circle—depending on interest, lived experience, and organizational needs.

This application is an opportunity to share who you are, what you care about, and how you envision contributing to a thriving, inclusive, nature-rooted ecosystem of healing. We look forward to building with you.
